Port of San Diego Game Day 5K to Kick off DIRECTV Holiday Bowl Festivities
SAN DIEGO (December 8, 2023) – The DIRECTV Holiday Bowl presents the 28th annual Port of San Diego Game Day 5K on December 27, 2023, along downtown San Diego’s bay front.
Starting at 9:45 a.m. in front of the Wyndham Hotel on Harbor Drive, the race heads south, offering a dynamic experience with cheering spectators. Runners, families, and spectators can watch the remainder of the Port of San Diego Holiday Bowl Parade presented by Kaiser Permanente, which features colorful floats, bands, and huge inflatable characters. All participants receive a finisher medal; awards are three deep in all divisions.
Post-race, a celebration with parade bands, balloons, and floats awaits, accompanied by music and refreshments.
Early-bird registration is $52 until December 24th at holidaybowl.com/5k-walk-run.
Attendees are advised to use public transportation or arrive early for parking in downtown pay lots.
The 5K Run/Walk is part of the festivities surrounding the 44th DIRECTV Holiday Bowl, airing nationally on FOX at 5 p.m. featuring a Louisville v. USC matchup.
