SAN DIEGO (November 14, 2022) – The 27th annual SDCCU Holiday Bowl 5K Run/Walk at the Port of San Diego Holiday Bowl Parade presented by Kaiser Permanente will take place on Wednesday, December 28 along downtown San Diego’s scenic bay front.

The race will start at 9:45 a.m. on the corner of Harbor Drive and Park Blvd. and finishing at Ruocco Park. Athletes will run past 10,000 cheering spectators. Runners, families, and spectators can watch the remainder of the parade, which features colorful floats, bands, and huge inflatable characters. All participants receive a finisher medal! Awards are three deep in all divisions.

Upon reaching the finish line, participants can enjoy the procession of parade bands, balloons and floats, which will begin at 10:00 a.m. A post-race party with music and refreshments will round out the event.

This race is part of the festivities surrounding the San Diego County Credit Union Holiday Bowl. This year’s 43rd annual game will be played on Wednesday, December 28 at 5 p.m. and will be televised nationally on FOX. Each year the SDCCU Holiday Bowl matches teams from the Pac-12 and ACC.
