Pacific Life Holiday Bowl Distributed Record Payout
"The bowl's upward trend with respect to our payouts is critically important for our ability to bring the nation's best teams to San Diego year after year," said Blumberg. "This is just one marker of the bowl's growth for which the entire Pacific Life Holiday Bowl family is very proud.
The previous Holiday Bowl high per team payout was in 2001 when the Universities of Washington and Texas each received $2,044,988.
