By landing a shot nine feet, five and one-half inches from the hole, Mike Hazelton of San Diego took home the first-place prize of a two night stay at Morgan Run Resort with golf and brunch as well as a $300 gift certificate to Donovans Steak & Chop House. All ten finalists won round-trip airfare on ExpressJet. If Hazelton or any of the other nine shootout participants had hit a hole-in-one, they would have won $1 million.
San Diego resident Mike Sheehan finished in second place by stopping his ball seventeen feet, eight inches short of the pin. Mike Ebel came in third place.
The revenue generated by the Barona $1 Million Hole-in-One Shootout supports the non-profit Pacific Life Holiday Bowl.
