The Cal Golden Bears used a balanced offense and a tough defense to defeat the Texas A&M Aggies 45-10 in the 29th annual Pacific Life Holiday Bowl. The Cal rushing attack accounted for 5 touchdowns and 241 yards on the ground. Justin Forsett led the way with eight carries for 124 yards, while co-offensive MVP Marshawn Lynch added 111 yards on 20 carries and rushed for two touchdowns. Quarterback Nate Longshore had an efficient game, going 19-24 for 235 yards and was named the game's co-offensive MVP.
After Texas A&M's first drive of the game, they were unable to get their offense going, as running back Mike Goodson was held to 62 yards rushing and Jovorskie Lane was held to only 36 yards on the ground.
Cal linebacker Desmond Bishop, the game's defensive MVP, led the Bears with 12 total tackles, 1 tackle for loss and one pass broken up.
